    The Manager of IT Operations Management is responsible for the overall support in defining and driving the Global Readiness Processing and resulting GRD. This position manages staff members who provide independent oversight to the IT Operation functions which provides Project Delivery Support and manages complex ITDR/BCP plans and delivers comprehensive IT Ops Reporting and Metrics portfolio. This position is critical to maintaining the ITSM's mission to transform IT in to a true Service Provider organization. Financial management of personnel, products, and services is critical to the success of this position.




    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information system, computer science or similar degree
    • Seven (7) years or more experience in Information Technology with at least 5 years in a leadership role
    • Seven (7) years or more experience in providing IT infrastructure support services for a large global enterprise
    • Seven (7) years or more experience in developing an IT infrastructure support service culture in a geographically and culturally technical organization
    • Strong oral and written communications skills. Read and/or listen information and ideas communicated. Present information and ideas clearly and understandably to others. Ability to work well with a variety of business units and to translate their needs into technical solutions
    • Ability to:

    • Working knowledge with Management of IT Operations Services. Strong experience and expertise in both Waterfall and Agile ASDLC processes. Strong background in IT Security, specifically IT Risk and Vulnerability Management. Experience with Business Continuity Planning and IT DR methods and solutions (advanced level)
    • Proven track record in the management of a technical support group and in technical Project Management (advanced level)


    • Responsible for Projects requiring I&O services. Support includes providing technical direction to the I&O Project Managers and will ensure full integration into the Ryder SDLC process
    • Manages the team in the planning and execution of all IT Disaster Recovery Testing and Business Continuity Testing. The team will document the procedures, plan the test and document and publish the results
    • Coaches and counsels employees on performance, sets performance standards, recommends pay actions and responsible for other HR actions
    • Plans, establishes and implements an IT Systems Critical Vulnerability Management Process, ensure its implementation and report on remediation progress and compliance
    • Directs the team in developing and publishing a monthly IT Ops Monthly Measurements Package – aggregating reporting and information from the various IT Ops teams – Capacity Management, System Availability, Sev 1 Incident Management, Project Delivery performance as well as IT Ops monthly Metrics rollup reporting to the Office of the CIO
    • Oversees the day to day activities for defining and driving the Global Readiness Process and resulting GRD for existing and future solutions
    • Works with the PMO to continually improve the SDLC process as it relates to IT Operations
    • Manages projects crossing multiple IT teams and impacting various business units
    • Develops working relations with the client base to gather input and feedback pertaining to service levels
    • Implements project execution methodologies with team
    • Tracks and manages approved spending limits and develops budgets for the team
    • Maintains currency in new ITSM developments and technology
    • Provides Audit and oversight for the rest of the IT Operations team
    • Perform other duties as assigned
