  • Position Description

    The Rental Marketing Assistant Manager is responsible for owning the rental customer from onboarding through cross-selling and retention. The position will be responsible for strategizing, developing and executing all Ryder Rental customer campaigns. The Rental Marketing Consultant will report to the Rental Marketing Manager, will improve our customer retention strategy, increase revenue for our current customer base, oversee all aspects of our rental reservation site, and manage and enhance the entire customer experience.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field
    • Five (5) years or more experience in marketing with some level of strategic responsibility
    • Three (3) years or more experience in managing marketing campaigns
    • Three (3) years or more experience in working with cross functional team
    • Excellent strategic planning and execution skills
    • Creative thinker who can implement strategies all the way through the creative process while always keeping the customer top of mind
    • Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Must demonstrate drive and a desire to improve the rental customer experience and retention
    • High energy, creativity and ability to work on teams
    • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe, Salesforce, Tableau and other marketing-related computer programs (intermediate level)
    • Experience in creative development, vendor management and developing new concepts within budget (intermediate level)

    Responsibilities

    • Leads strategic development of marketing campaigns for our Ryder Rental customers (Digital and traditional advertising)
    • Develop marketing strategies for all digital marketing channels including: SEO/SEM, the website, social media and outbound email, digital display, and other emerging digital platforms
    • Responsible for managing voice of customer program and retention strategy
    • Effectively position Ryder cross-sell/upsell solutions for Rental to increase customers' share of wallet
    • Manages internal partnerships and cross functional teams to develop strategies based on various retention opportunities
    • Oversees collateral material inventory while managing a budget of over $500,000
    • Develop monthly tableau reports on all Rental Marketing campaigns to track the ROI on marketing efforts for rental overall and communicate insights to the rental leadership team
    • Perform other duties as assigned
