  • Position Description

    The Insurance Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support to members of the Ryder Fleet Protection Solutions Group (RFPS).


    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • More than one (1+) year of sales department experience; with insurance experience a plus
    • Motivated creative thinker
    • Strong oral and written communications skills
    • Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, and supervisors)
    • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
    • Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment
    • Capable of multi-tasking, excellent organizational and time management skills
    • Ability to prioritize and manage work time
    • Detail oriented with good analytical skills and excellent follow-up practices
    • Knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint


    • Assist Ryder Sales staff in tracking, gathering, and organizing customer underwriting data
    • Assist with development of quotes and presentations
    • Gather data and input for producing MVR risk ratings
    • Send out marketing materials
    • Follow up on leads and prospects
    • Provide phone support
    • Assist with renewals as required
    • Perform other duties as assigned
