  • Position Description

    The Supply Chain Engineer I will be responsible for analysis and utilization of continuous improvement tools to design Supply Chain Solutions in current and future operations.

     

    Additional Responsibilities/Skillset:

    • Generate innovative ideas to drive customer savings and process efficiencies
    • Support operations; determine efficient utilization of resources by analyzing layouts, labor force, driver and equipment planning.
    • Develop and deliver data driven presentations to various levels of leadership
    • Manage small and medium size projects; must have great communication skills and the ability to coordinate with multiple functional groups
    • Collect data and perform statistical analyses; candidate should have experience with analysis tools such as MS Excel, MS Access, Tableau (preferred) and R (preferred)

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree required in Engineering/Business/Supply Chain or a minimum of 8 (eight) years of relevant work experience
    • 1 (one) year work experience or accredited internship/cooperative experience required
    • Advanced Level Skills in MS Word such as keyboard short cuts, creating macros, merge, merge queries, templates, table techniques, and working with images and text
    • Advanced Level Skills in MS Project such as importing and exporting data to and from your project, connection to a Project Server, setting multiple project baselines, customizing columns in a table, creating custom views and reports, PERT analysis and project tracking, and maintaining project budget compliance AND/OR experience with AutoCAD
    • Advanced Level Skills in MS Visio such as creating Visio diagrams, creating custom styles and templates, cross functional flow charts, linking drawings to other MS applications, working with data, custom reports, and exporting

    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Industrial Engineering and/or Masters Degree preferred

    Responsibilities

    • Collects data and performs statistical analysis Maps and documents processes
    • Conducts transportation analysis and/or time studies to establish standards
    • Participates in continuous improvement projects Works with other team members to develop alternative solutions
    • Uses Lean Six Sigma tools (5s and 5whys)
