  • Position Description

    The Financial Analyst is responsible for data collection and communication to the extended Ryder supply management team. The Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting the supply management team in understanding all financial impacts associated with the Ryder sourcing process. Cost regression analysis and supplier financial health assessment may also be a significant portion of the assignment. The Financial Analyst will also assist all members of the supply management team as required by the Ryder 6 step sourcing process.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance/Business
    • Master's degree in Finance/Business preferred
    • Two (2) years or more experience as a financial analyst preferred
    • Performs work independently with minimal supervision
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Effective interpersonal skills
    • Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to:
      • Create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)
      • Multi-task, be highly organized, with excellent time management skills
      • Work independently and as a member of a team
    • Detailed oriented with excellent follow-up practices
    • Office 365 suite (intermediate level)
    • Trucking Industry (beginner level) preferred
    • IT Systems (intermediate level) preferred
    • Microsoft Office Excel, Power Pivots, etc. (advanced level) preferred
    • SQL (intermediate level) preferred
    • Supply Chain Sourcing Process (intermediate level) preferred

    Responsibilities

    • Track & report all financial information as required by the Ryder sourcing process
    • Create report outs / savings analysis to be shared with executive mgmt
    • Perform financial analysis of suppliers as required
    • Identify cost down opportunities through financial analysis
    • Create pro forma models for analyzing financial strategies for cost down activities
    • Identify business trends utilizing real data & compile analysis reports for presentation
    • Performs other duties as assigned
