  • Position Description

    As part of the Ryder team, the Lease Billing Associate II will handle a variety of tasks such as:

    • Complete billing for various districts
    • Ensure revenue rejections are corrected
    • Work with various internal organizations to correct pending and failed Vehicle Change Notices (VCNs) so billing can be performed
    • Complete various monthly reports that ensure the organization has a good grasp of data integrity
    • Oversee the integrity of weekly/monthly odometer readings for all customers


    • High school diploma or GED equivalent
    • Three (3) years or more of office administrative experience
    • Two (2) years or more of work experience
    • Two (2) years or more of experience with basic accounting practices and procedures
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to:
      • Drive multiple projects to successful completion; self-motivated to reach established departmental goals
      • Work independently and as a member of a team
      • Perform work independently with minimal supervision
      • Create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, and supervisors)
    • Capability for multi-tasking and highly organized, with excellent time management skills
    • Excellent organizational skills; ability to set priorities, organize work and select the appropriate method for processing the work
    • Demonstrated problem solving skills
    • Flexibility to operate, and self-driven to excel, in a fast-paced environment
    • Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices
    • MS Excel skills: freezing/unfreezing panes, hiding/un-hiding data, setting print titles & page brakes, linking workbooks, creating external links, re-directing links, customizing toolbars & menus, protecting a worksheet, filtering options and chart formatting options (intermediate level)
    • MS Windows skills: working with Windows and its components, desktop, taskbar, start menu, minimize/maximize/close function, drag/drop, copy/paste, rename, delete, recycle bin and My Computer (intermediate level)


    • Accurate processing of continuing charges > 39999 miles and/or > 999 hours, plus or minus, to include back-up and supervisor approval
    • Research of units where readings may not be updating odometer history (broken, estimated, yard tractor) --- 400 units per month
    • Accurate completion and timely submission of checklist tasks, reporting and close functions, and Salesforce with a goal of 2.0 days
    • Accurate and timely processing of VCNs; review of exceptions, escalation and obtaining supervisor approval; completion of unprocessed VCNs within three days of the exception
    • Accurate and timely correction of 960 revenue rejections; rejections should be processed and balanced daily with necessary JVs (journal vouchers) completed as needed.
    • On-time processing with a goal of 85% for the contractual billing organization
    • Participation in team building, cross functional training, and process improvement activities utilizing innovative solutions to get desired results
    • Participation in group billing metrics with a desired error rate of 3.29%
    • Performance of other duties as assigned
