  • Position Description

    The Contract Administrator will provide support, counsel and advice to the Fleet Management Solutions division, including drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, advising other departments on all types of substantive commercial matters, managing commercial disputes and regulatory compliance.


    • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Economics, other related field, or equivalent related experience
    • Minimum of four (4) years legal experience
    • Corporate and commercial experience
    • Experience with negotiating commercial contracts, drafting contracts and letters, litigation and other dispute resolution matters, as well as regulatory and compliance issues


    • Sound judgment and effective negotiating skills, practicality and resourcefulness in problem solving and ability to distill complex information and communicate advice clearly
    • Ability to balance competing priorities and a high volume of work with tight deadlines
    • Flexibility to work beyond a standard workday to meet the often pressing needs of clients
    • Solid presentation skills; ability to provide analysis to a wide variety of people
    • Proven background identifying and understanding legal issues and assessing and managing business and legal risks
    • Ability to take a balanced viewpoint when making decisions on risk and reward
    • Ability to push back with internal clients while maintaining a solid long-term relationship
    • Some in-house experience supporting company operations is a definite plus


    • The position will report to the General Counsel for the Company's Fleet Management Solutions division
    • The individual in this position will have primary responsibility for preparing, reviewing and negotiating various commercial and transactional agreements, as well as working collaboratively with internal clients in North America and Europe on a variety of legal matters
    • This person will also be expected to research and advise on regulatory issues and provide support to, and collaborate with, the following teams within the organization: Procurement, Sales, Operations, Marketing, Environmental, Real Estate and IT
    • The position will be responsible for identifying risks and proposing alternative structures to mitigate risks involved in transactions and contracts
    • This position will involve some management of commercial disputes including interaction of outside counsel
