Position Description

This Consultant position will be responsible for supporting the SVP of Sales, Group Director of FMS Pricing and Directors of Business Development in the pricing and analysis of lease, maintenance and captive shop opportunities associated with large national (i.e. Enterprise) accounts.


  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is required
  • A minimum of three (3) years of finance or accounting experience is required
  • Advanced level MS Ecel skills such as working with formulas, data tables, pivot charts, queries, custom functions, data management and analysis
  • Advanced level MS Word skills, such as keyboard short cuts, creating macros, merge queries, templates, table techniques, and working with images and text
  • Advanced level MS PowerPoint skills, such as inserting charts, graphs & tables, customizing slide shows with hyperlinks, drawing & working with objects, speaker notes  and meeting notes, and advanced presentation features


  • MBA is strongly preferred; Demonstrated financial/mathematical competence, with a strong understanding of key accounting concepts: revenue, variable expense and depreciation / interest, and how these relate in an equipment pricing context
  • Strong preference for existing Ryder employee / understanding of Ryder terms, processes, information systems and maintenance practices
  • Preference for familiarity with Ryder pricing systems (i.e., RADAR)
  • Strong communication skills both oral and written; Ability to effectively communicate with and influence both senior leadership and customer
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and collaborate with multiple departments to meet specific deadlines


  • Primary responsibility will involve pricing of lease, maintenance, and captive shop opportunities for large national accounts (i.e. enterprise accounts)
  • Develop financial/executive reports and presentations for senior leadership and customer
  • Ensure close adherence to pricing and approval guidelines
  • Perform ad hoc analysis, as needed, and effectively communicate results to both senior leadership and customer
  • Gather information from both internal and external resources necessary to complete pricing and financial analysis
  • Analyze the customer's asset base and maintenance history and recommend opportunities for incremental sales opportunities and / or rate concessions to Directors of Business Development, Field Finance Director and Group Director FMS Pricing
