The Supervisor, Customer Logistics-w/ Payroll and Billing -

Position is typically dedicated to an assigned area of responsibility within an account or location. The incumbent ensures that productivity and operational goals are met in order to deliver customer satisfaction. Individual will be working in a dynamic environment that focuses on delivering continuous measurable improvement to the customer.

This supervisor will also be responsible for ensuring Drivers are dispatched and will also be reviewing weekly Trip Sheets to then be processed.


  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • One to three (1-3) years of experience in a transportation, warehouse or distribution environment
  • Minimum of six (6) months of supervisory experience
  • Ability to:
    • Make quality decisions by employing innovative, clear and concise problem solving strategies

    • Perform work accurately and thoroughly with a minimum of 92% accuracy rate

  • Strong oral and written communications skills

  • Capability to multi-task; highly organized, with excellent time management skills
  • Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices
  • Computer skills (HAH, SCOS, Microsoft Office, SAP, Lotus Notes)


  • Interpret day-to-day business objectives and preparation/execution of operational practices/work programs
  • Supervise Payroll and Billing staff, fill in for the manager as needed, and prepare work schedules to ensure appropriate coverage
  • Assist in monitoring workload and assess evaluation/development plans of direct reports
  • Ensure team members acquire necessary skills and performance attributes, in line with business and personal development needs
  • Perform data entry with attention to detail and accuracy while entering alpha-numeric data
  • Assist Payroll and Billing Manager to create annual team objectives
  • Manage effective client service relationship as the main point of contact for senior client representatives
  • Implement quality control measures
  • Approve and release manual off-cycle check payments
  • Train team members on new or enhanced operationn procedures and policies
  • Identify process improvement initiatives and define standards for new processes
  • Cover for team members in back-up role for vacation and/or high-volume work efforts
  • Define standards and reusable approaches within the Payroll and Billing operational framework
  • Participate in the interview process for new hires into Payroll and Billing roles
  • Escalate potential service issues to Payroll and Billing Manager
  • Provide guidance to, and share knowledge relating to own specialization, with colleagues and team members
  • Facilitate weekly team meetings as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned
