Position Description

The SEO Manager will create and manage the ongoing SEO strategy and initiatives that will improve searchability and traffic to Ryder owned websites including: www.ryder.com, usedtrucks.ryder.com, and reservations.ryder.com. This person will be charged with identifying and project managing the technical improvements necessary to improve website crawling activities from search engines. In addition, they would be responsible for optimizing existing page content and developing new robust, engaging, and informative site content that aligns with both business objectives and search engine optimization. They will work with others throughout the organization to achieve inbound and outbound links through press, blogs, partners and others. They will work closely with those responsible for social and reputation management to ensure that the appropriate linking strategies are deployed. He/She will be working hand in hand with other members of the marketing organization to create superior end-to-end omni-channel customer experiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Finance or related field
  • Five (5) years or more Experience in managing Search Engine Optimization (SEO) programs
  • Great communications skills /Comfortable communicating results at any level of the organization
  • High level of confidence with extracting, processing and analyzing data from multiple sources
  • Self Starter, motivated and driven
  • Experience with building marketing content that converts to sales (intermediate level) preferred
  • Experience working in CMS platforms:  Sitecore preferred (intermediate level)
  • Knowledge of Business Intelligence, analytics and SEO software (intermediate level)
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills (advanced level)
  • Excellent writing/editing skills (advanced level)

Responsibilities

  • Create and tactically implement the SEO marketing strategy for Ryder’s digital entities
  • Provide leadership and guidance on search engine optimization throughout the organization. Work with others throughout the organization to ensure coverage through partnerships, blogs, press, and more
  • Responsible for working with IT to implement any proposed improvements to site structure
  • Optimize and create new content landing experiences that support business need and our SEO strategy to drive traffic to the site
  • Work with marketing team to ensure a superior omni-channel customer experience
  • Performs other duties as assigned
