Position Description

The Rental Billing Associate II is routinely expected to make decisions in absence of formal guidance or guidelines, and/or interpret guidelines for proper application.


As part of the Ryder team the Rental Billing Associate II will handle a variety of tasks such as:

  • Complete billing for various districts
  • Ensure revenue rejections are corrected timely
  • Research various monthly reports to ensure that revenue is stated correctly
  • Input weekly/monthly odometer readings for all customers to ensure billing is accurate
  • Work with internal customers to resolve billing issues and question concerning rental counter activities
  • Prepare journal vouchers for revenue corrections


  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Three (3) years or more office administrative experience
  • Two (2) years or more previous work experience
  • Two (2) years or more experience with basic accounting practices and procedures
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to:
    • Drive multiple projects to successful completion. Self motivated to reach established departmental goals
    • Work independently and as a member of a team
    • Create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)
  • Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills
  • Performs work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent organizational skills. Ability to set priorities, organize work and select the appropriate method for processing the work
  • Demonstrate problem solving skills
  • Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment
  • Detailed oriented with excellent follow-up practices
  • MS Excel: freezing/unfreezing panes, hiding/un-hiding data, setting print titles & page brakes, linking workbooks, creating external links, re-directing links, customizing toolbars & menus, protecting a worksheet, filtering options and chart formatting options (intermediate level)
  • MS Windows: working with Windows and its components, desktop, taskbar, start menu, minimize/maximize/close function, drag/drop, copy/paste, rename, delete, recycle bin and My Computer (intermediate level)


  • Accurate processing of rental billing exceptions
  • Accurate completion and timely submission of checklist tasks, reporting and close functions, and Salesforce with a goal of 5.0 days
  • Complete month end accounting activities that includes monthly billing, revenue accruals, Bu variances, and journal vouchers
  • Participation in Team Building, Cross Functional training, and process improvement activities utilizing innovative solutions to get desired results
  • Input odometer readings timely
  • Accurate and timely correction of revenue rejections. Rejections should be processed and balanced daily with necessary JVs (journal vouchers) completed as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned
