Position Description

The Senior Manager Tax Property manages all aspects of real property tax, personal property tax and business license renewals, and will report to the Director or Operating Tax


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or similar field
  • Eight (8) years or more multi-state real and personal property tax experience
  • Ability to work effectively with managers and employees at all levels of the organization
  • Strong research skills. Strong analytical and computer skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to communicate in a succinct and understandable manner both verbally and in writing
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work. Excellent work ethic
  • Ability to direct, motivate and coach the activities of others
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in problem solving
  • Positive, assertive and persuasive communication style
  • Knowledgeable of property tax rules and regulations in multiple states; advanced level
  • Big 4 and industry tax experience; advanced level; preferred
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, Word, Excel, Outlook.; advanced level
  • Other CPA or CMI; preferred


  • Manage and develop property tax and business license staff
  • Accountable for the accuracy of the property tax and business license calendar for both due dates and payments
  • Accountable for timely review of property tax renditions, tax accruals and account reconciliations
  • Accountable for the accuracy and maintenance of the property values and assessments in the personal property tax database and retrieval of audit data
  • Communicate with field and finance personnel on property tax issues
  • Manage personal property tax, real property tax appeals, related consulting agreements. Manage property tax audits
  • Verify personal property tax bills are as expected based on renditions. Review and approve requests for property tax payments
  • Performs other duties, as assigned
  • Assist Indirect Tax Team, as needed
