Position Description

The Rental Billing Associate is routinely expected to make decisions in absence of formal guidance or guidelines, and/or interpret guidelines for proper application.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. required
  • Minimum of 2 (two) years of previous work experience required Basic accounting experience required
  • Intermediate level skills with MS Windows such working with windows and its components, desktop, taskbar, start menu, minimize/maximize/close function, drag/drop, copy/paste, rename, delete, recycle bin, and my computer

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Mainframe and FIS knowledge 
  • Two or three years of occupationally specific training beyond high school or an AA degree preferred
  • Proven written and verbal skills, ability to multi task with limited supervision, attention to detail, timely follow up, able to meet deadlines
  • Strong customer service orientation and strong problem solving ability
  • Strong communication skills and self motivation
  • The ability to resolve problems that require the use of basic scientific, mathematical or technical principles

Responsibilities

  • Process rental billing by analyzing exceptions and resolving issues
  • Verify batch accounting daily
  • Review agreements review daily and correct as needed Review agreements overdue for processing weekly and clear items with assistance from BU rental personnel
  • Work with rental personnel to obtain missing information or correct invalid data on rental agreements
  • Create and submit credit memos as needed
  • Verify rebillable data on credit memos Resolve call tracking reports
  • Research Rental Revenue Accrual Exceptions report and process JVs as needed to correct identified errors
  • Analyze Unit by Revenue reports for month end revenue variances
  • Complete and submit weekly update sheets and monthly checklists
